Pregnancy Diet was envisioned as a trusted nutritional companion for women navigating pregnancy. The project included creating tailored meal plans for each trimester, incorporating essential nutrients like folic acid, iron, calcium, and omega-3s. It also offered practical tips to combat common pregnancy challenges such as nausea, fatigue, and food aversions.
We worked alongside OB-GYNs, pediatric nutritionists, and culinary specialists to ensure each meal guide was safe, culturally inclusive, and easy to prepare. Recipes were designed to be both comforting and functional, supporting digestion, hydration, and fetal growth.
A key challenge was creating meal plans that remained effective despite hormonal changes, taste shifts, and fluctuating appetites throughout pregnancy. To solve this, we included flexible meal options and substitution guides that maintained nutritional balance.
Another difficulty involved ensuring food safety and eliminating ingredients that posed risks. This required strict vetting of recipes and alignment with international prenatal dietary guidelines to protect both mother and baby.
